ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Alex. I'm an actor, singer, dancer, and musician based in New York City. My greatest passions in life are making people laugh and playing music. I grew up in Northern California with my twin sister, Madilyn, who wanted to play the role of Alice in Alice in Wonderland. I wanted to be a tree, my parents wanted free daycare, and so we both ended up in black tights and a plethora of hand sewn costumes in our elementary auditorium.

I also spent a decade of my life playing baseball, but when given the choice between junior varsity and Pride and Prejudice, the decision became clear. A thriving art scene encouraged me to join as many extracurriculars as humanly possible. I spent four years in jazz band behind the drum kit, studied music theory, taught myself guitar, and still managed to do dozens of productions as a young actor.

It was my love for music that led me to Arizona State University where I achieved a B.M. in Musical Theatre. From there, I continued to hone my acting, singing, and dancing in addition to my musical craft and added professional credits to my resume.

In recent years, I have had the opportunity to perform as an actor-musician, picking up new and old instruments. Writing music has been also been an incredible outlet for me, which you can read more about below.

Music

During the pandemic, while spending time in Phoenix, Arizona, I had time to focus on writing music. A pipe dream since my preteens, I fell in love with indie-folk music as an attendee to several festivals. Influential bands became: The Lumineers, The Head and The Heart, Handmouth, and The Milk Carton Kids. To me this music is simple, heartfelt, and powerful. It combined my musical ability and love of story telling into a focused genre.

I began to write, produce, and engineer multiple projects from an EP named Cass & Crossland, to my own self titled singles available to stream everywhere. I am available to record guitar, piano, synths, and vocals remotely on your next musical endeavor.
